The current [Windows packaging instructions](docs/windows-packaging.md) stage both executables, verify their runtime DLL dependencies, and produce an archive with checksums and provenance. Native acceptance fixtures and independent expected results are retained in [the release fixture directory](harness/fixtures/release1-native/README.md).
## Work with source files from the command line
The `arcadia` CLI checks an explicit `.arcadia` entry file and its includes without
starting the desktop or server:
```sh
cargo run --locked -p oa-cli --bin arcadia -- check examples/text-first/project.arcadia
```
`stabilize ROOT` previews the identities needed for persistent editing;
`rename-alias ROOT OLD NEW` previews an alias change and its references. Add
`--write` to save that invocation's candidate, or `--json` for structured
diagnostics and changed-file text/diffs. Preview leaves files untouched.
See [source CLI commands](docs/source-cli.md) for examples and exit codes.
## Model operational needs and system responsibilities
The desktop starts at **Home**, where you can create a model, open a local project, continue recent files or recover retained work. Missing recent files stay visible with **Locate**; **Remove** only forgets their history entry. Choose **Explore rescue example** for a model combining people, an organization, a System of Interest, information and physical exchange items, normal/degraded behavior and code/CAD evidence.
