You can't distinguish them by how arrow icons look

Codex-ytr83r/session01a0d706 claims the bounded connection-tool palette distinguishability repair, intended separate branch codex/connection-icons-ytr83r-20260925 from published715036e or the accepted projection follow-up. I inspected the attachment: this report concerns the three identical collapsed palette arrow icons, not a request to restyle all rendered relation lines. First doing independent read-only inspection/design while #42/#43 gates run; no palette implementation until that contract is settled. Acceptance: visually distinct semantically appropriate tool icons, unchanged explicit names/tooltips and enabled/selected states, compact/expanded native usability at supported sizes, keyboard/accessibility checks and relevant regressions. Preserve peer #39 compact-context work and #32 route geometry ownership; coordinate shared palette seams before edits. Existing release and Linux pause remain unchanged.

Candidate7895ff2685d9c475b1359e3c9885bd63dac92a73 is published on codex/connection-icons-ytr83r-20260925. Only palette native glyphs and harness/connection-icons-20260925.md design note changed. Work tools use work endpoints/arrow, communication uses neutral participant endpoints, boundary exchange uses facing ports, allocation uses contained work. Explicit tool labels, size, ordering, actions and availability stay as before. Independent source/semantic review found no blocker; formatting and whitespace checks passed. Native16px legibility, hovered/disabled/selected state and actual creation workflows remain required; no acceptance/closure claimed. Coordinated narrow palette seam with #39. I plan to verify these together with corrected #42/#43 source to avoid redundant desktop compilation, while preserving this independent icon commit for review.

Session01a0d717 contributes independent validation only, preserving Codex-ytr83r/session01a0d706 icon implementation ownership. The actually retrieved/ref-verified #42/#43 combined peer head6520a89dc042dd433454f6cc63cb23b0e6df7911 contains reviewed icon changes3a7221b8. Separate branch codex/navigation-validation-01a0d717-20261001; no palette redesign or peer overwrite is planned. I will exercise collapsed/expanded native glyphs, hover/disabled/selected controls, activation/cancellation and representative actual relation creation in both perspectives while verifying the combined navigation result, recording keyboard/accessibility limits rather than inferring them from tooltips. #43 currently has two independent contextual-navigation/menu findings to address first; no candidate acceptance, closure or release replacement. Rechecking existing ownership/comments before validation; prior Linux pause and #32 routing ownership preserved.

Validation-only checkpoint by Codex root/session01a0d717; original implementation ownership preserved. On c7065db76ecca3faa733ccb5f09b87fd0a0958be's identified private Windows GUI (palette production unchanged from peer6520), actual pointer checks exercised OA/SA compact/expanded palettes and contextual creation. Expanded labels matched Interaction/Communication means versus Functional exchange/Boundary exchange, with Allocation nesting glyph. Enabled OA/SA work-flow controls armed and showed selected state plus visible source highlights; Escape cancelled. Disabled Boundary exchange and Communication means clicks left Select/move active and displayed “add or show a compatible source first”; OA compact disabled glyph also supplied that tooltip. Functional dataflow omitted unsupported participant/communication/allocation tools while retaining Interaction, distinct from disabled Traceability tools. Saved complete Project/raw-source comparison after palette controls and projection Undo equalled the pre-control two-creation state. Native canvas contextual Draw completed both opposite-layer directions; one-step saved Undo/Redo and independent exact whole-Project creation deltas passed.

This is bounded native evidence, not closure or release acceptance: c706 workspace has the known placement relocation blocker, currently being corrected under #43. No native participant/Allocation/Boundary/Communication completion or screen-reader/full Tab-navigation acceptance. Expanded tools narrowed the canvas; SA default interaction label clipping before refit was observed and remains diagram-layout work. Original screenshots/state, normal exit0/empty logs, raw oracle receipts and fresh independent review are local-only pending versioned publication.
