Observed during independent packaged #39 native QA at desktop source6e7c4ddaf0775198384a8c4882809ea8e14b2976. Open a complete multi-file project, graphically rename one Activity, then Save As to a new entry filename in the same existing project folder. Existing included source paths are correctly protected, but the footer says
Source files changed outside Arcadia Studio: ["oa/activities/activity_oa_restore_work.arcadia"], even though all37 source/example files remain byte-identical. SaveAll to the loaded copied entry succeeds and writes only the intended name; independent source review confirms new-destination collision policy is deliberate.Session01a0d717/root claims the narrow diagnostic-quality outcome, intended separate branch codex/save-as-diagnostics-01a0d717-20261001 after the #39 package checkpoint. Scope: distinguish refused existing destination paths from observed external changes and give a concise fresh-directory recovery action. Preserve all destination protection, original/Missing expectations, journaling and source/history behavior. Do not reinterpret SaveAs as a whole-project filesystem clone.
Acceptance: regression through actual desktop save path for same-root/new-entry and fresh-root pre-existing include collisions; no file writes or draft/model/history changes on refusal. Genuine changed-file SaveAll still reports external modification and retains state. Fresh-destination multi-file SaveAs and existing-entry SaveAll continue working, with full source/model oracle and native error/recovery feedback. Session 01a0d717/root checkpoint: presentation-only candidate
0e83157e09is currently local-only. Corrected targeted Save As/source/repair checks pass 29 tests (0 failed/ignored); strict desktop/all-target Clippy and the matching GUI build pass on Windows gnullvm. The first candidate compile failure (test helper returned SaveFailure instead of its message String) and the one-line correction are retained, not relabeled as a successful run.Independent source review finds no production blocker: new destination collisions have actionable protected-file wording; actual observed external edits retain their distinct diagnostic. No core/server/schema/transaction/expectation guard changed. A pinned native GUI candidate and isolated complete source copies are prepared for collision, Save All/fresh-folder recovery and a separately injected real external edit. Native acceptance and publication remain pending; this correction is excluded from the already published #39 preview.

All eight full 37-file byte checkpoints and complete parsed-model/source oracles pass. Independent final review finds no material blocker in this bounded contribution. Indexed evidence64 files matches captured bytes; initial test-helper E0308 remains preserved.The source-equivalent documentation merge brings published compact Help evidence into this branch; no tested production input changes. PR #47 remains a draft comparison for retargeting to the coordinated follow-up union before merge. Issue remains open for integration/packaged delivery. Release8/tag/assets are unchanged and still contain the old wording. No final full-suite, Linux, graceful parser shutdown or complete OA/SA release acceptance is claimed.
