Local named behavior creation
Codex-9e8r6t /root/release_audit, 2026-09-11. Source checkpoint pending root publication; release is not accepted.
Behavior → New presents three task choices: OA Operational process / SA Functional chain; Scenario; State machine. Names remain exact. Process/chain/Scenario are layer-root elements; Scenario viewpoint is explicitly chosen and optional context is a separate reference. A machine requires an existing compatible same-layer participant, found through bounded six-candidate search with kind, alias and ancestry; its first empty state view is opt-in. No implicit capability, region, state or work source is invented. Missing-owner creation still requires the separate Architecture workflow.
Creation remains a raw recoverable draft until the validated atomic core batch commits. New refuses existing property/source/behavior drafts and stale layer events. Successful commit selects the exact created behavior and optional view; failure retains raw input. Captured text-input Escape uses ordinary App modal priority: first close an overlay if present, then cancel the creation draft. Rootless SA recovery restores its captured layer and name focus without syncing away other raw drafts. Text and JSON use the existing typed semantics and exact SourceBundle/history contracts.
Creation21/21, guide3/3, broader behavior166/166 and checkpoints13/13 pass. Root full653/653 passes on immutable test SHA864B0FE89D0DC33F19D8414531501CB4D9DC5E7527B925A16E74ACA0E1197E86. A subsequent equivalent history condition lint correction passes affected history63/63, strictClippy all-targets -Dwarnings, formatting and matchingGUI build. Final GUI SHA D4D9C2BD937E301FF1009D7CB93A34EE5AA6DFC837FF7E87D468C85371B20C31; actual input/artifact manifests and logs are in .local/behavior-creation-20260911. The manifest explicitly identifies the sole lint-only difference from the full-suite source snapshot.
Independent shared-seam review found no further blocker. Parent-context ambiguity was corrected and independently reread. Mounted actual Iced widgets verify six candidates and pinned actions at500×320,500×570,1050×570 with the unit renderer; real native typography, long ancestor wrapping and complete creation/save/reopen remain native gates. Packaging/Linux/backend/end-state acceptance remain separate release work.
